Cultural Figures of Joniškis Fresco

In 2014 a Fesco named Cultural Figures of Joniškis was painted on a wall of a historic building (previously the movie theatre Gintaras). It features the most eminent people from Joniškis: portraits with short annotations of Folklorist Matas Slančiauskas, artist Adomas Varnas, writer Marius Katiliškis, actor of Jewish descent and British legend Laurence Harvey, and Lithuanian actor Laimonas Noreika. The fresco placement was not accidental – not far from here cultural institutions are clustered together, and here is one of the most beautiful culture and resting areas in town. The project was implemented by Joniškis Cultural Centre, and the F was created by a Monumental artist Andrius Naraškevičius from Vilnius.
